At Smart Language Learning Studio, we currently conduct all tuition sessions at our residence due to our back-to-back lesson schedule. Unfortunately, we do not offer home visit services.
If traveling to our location is inconvenient, we recommend opting for our online tuition classes. This option provides the flexibility to learn from the comfort of your own home.

At Smart Language Learning Studio, our group classes follow a carefully structured curriculum designed to meet the needs of all students. We understand that exam periods can be a stressful time, but since our students may come from different schools with varying exam schedules, we’re unable to adjust the class content to fit any specific student’s exam preparation.
We truly appreciate your understanding, as this ensures that all students can benefit from a consistent learning experience. If your child requires more tailored support during exam periods, we would be happy to offer additional one-on-one private lessons. Occasionally, we may also provide extra support sessions, which your child can join for focused help.

To get the most out of our game-based lessons and fully participate in it, students are required to bring their own iPad or laptop to each lesson. If your child does not have access to a device, please let us know in advance. While we’ll do our best to accommodate, please note the following:
If multiple students require devices, we may ask them to share during the lesson, which could result in limited game time for each student.
Rest assured, we have additional engaging games and activities in place to ensure everyone has a fun and productive session!
At Smart Language Learning Studio, we follow our own carefully structured curriculum, aligned with the MOE syllabus, but paced according to the needs of our students as a group. Since students come from various schools with differing exam timetables and learning speeds, our curriculum is adjusted based on the average class progress.
Group Classes: Our curriculum is designed to cover essential topics, including those relevant to school exams. However, it may not always align perfectly with individual exam schedules or specific school timetables. While we do our best to note students’ exam periods and recap relevant topics listed in their exam timetable, we’re unable to tailor the entire curriculum to fit any student’s specific needs during the exam period. As we hope to maintain fairness for all our students in the group.
Private Lessons: For one-on-one classes, we can adjust the curriculum to focus on specific exam preparation or individual learning needs as exams approach. This more personalized approach ensures that your child is well-prepared for their school’s requirements.
We understand that things like school activities (CCA), medical appointments, or other commitments can sometimes cause students to miss lessons. For group classes, students can reschedule missed lessons to another class at their level, either within the same month or the next, via our e-learning portal.
We strive to be flexible, but please note that rescheduling is based on available class times, and we encourage limiting it to once / twice a month. If a suitable rescheduled class can’t be found within this time, we regret to inform you that there will be no fee deduction made. We encourage families to plan ahead as much as possible to ensure lesson consistency.
We know that private students may have other commitments such as CCAs or personal matters that occasionally come up. We’ll do our best to accommodate any rescheduling requests within the same month or the next, depending on availability.

We completely understand that sometimes life happens! If you need to cancel a class due to a CCA, or other reasons, just make a reschedule on our e-learning platform or let us know at least 24 hours in advance. We’ll do our best to find a suitable time for a make-up lesson, either within the same month or the following one.
If a new class time can’t be arranged, there won’t be a fee deduction hence we encourage you to take on the rescheduled lessons. If the absence is due to a medical condition, the same condition applies.
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a lesson, I will do everything possible to arrange a make-up class at a time that works for everyone.
For group classes: If no common time is available for a make-up class, we will adjust the amount you’ve paid.
The refund will be calculated as (Monthly Fees/ 4 Classes = Price Per Class), and the adjustment will reflect the number of lessons missed.
For private classes: If we can’t find a suitable time for a make-up session, the same refund method will be applied to the affected classes. The above calculations does not apply to our unlimited/buffet package.
Yes, lessons continue as usual during major holidays, including the June and November/December periods. However, if your child is traveling or unavailable for lessons during that time, you can take a break for the month and resume the following month. We’ll also provide any necessary notes or materials to ensure they don’t fall behind.
For November and December, we focus on preparing students for the next academic year, so these lessons are particularly valuable!
No, usually there are no lessons during public holidays for Group tuition however if you are 1-1 student, it would depend on the arrangement with the tutor & parents.
Our Unlimited Buffet Lessons Package allows students to register for as many classes as they need within their current level.

We truly value commitment and consistency in learning. If a student registers for classes and fails to attend without prior notice or rescheduling more than three times in a row, we reserve the right to temporarily suspend the service and the fee would not be brought forward to the following month and we would not refund the fee. This helps ensure that all students can make the most of their learning opportunities and avoid any misuse of the unlimited booking privilege.

At Smart Language Learning Studio, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may sometimes cause students to be late. However, to maintain a productive learning environment and respect everyone’s time, here are our guidelines regarding pickup & any lateness to class:
Pick-up Time:
Registration Fee: We’re pleased to inform you that there is no registration fee for joining our classes!
Class Materials: All class materials are included in your tuition fee. We’ll provide these materials either per class or at the start of each term, depending on the situation that is subjected to the Tutor.
Care of Materials: We kindly ask students to take good care of their materials. If any materials are lost or damaged, there will be a small fee for replacements.
Usage of Materials: Please remember that our notes and materials are intended for your personal use and learning only.
Requesting Past Materials: If you join us mid-year and would like to access past our materials, you can request them for an additional fee.
Past-Years Exam Papers: If you wish to purchase exam papers (only soft copies) from other schools (past years / current years) at an additional fee, please reach out to me if you would like to purchase.
At Smart Language Learning Studio, our fees are billed monthly for all our classes which includes the unlimited buffet lessons, and we kindly ask that payments be made before the start of each new month. This ensures that we can secure your child’s spot and maintain a well-organized schedule for all our students.
We understand parents might wonder why payments are collected at the start of the month rather than at the end. Collecting fees in advance helps us prepare all necessary materials and allocate time efficiently for every student. It also allows us to keep class sizes manageable and prevents any last-minute disruptions.
To help ease any concerns, we offer paid trial classes to experience our teaching style beforehand. If you’re unsure about how it will work for your child, our trial lesson is a great way to get a feel for the experience without committing to a full month.
Of course, if there are any payment issues or you have concerns about continuing, just let us know—we’re always here to help!
We kindly ask that all payments be made before the first lesson of each month. If payments are delayed, we may need to pause lessons until the payment is received. We reserve the right to impose a 10% late fee if payment is received after the 7th of every month.

In the event you decide to stop lessons for any of our classes including the unlimited buffet lessons, we kindly ask for a two-week notice. There won’t be any refunds for the lessons already paid for the month, but your child can continue attending the remaining lessons till the last class of the month.
No, there are no extra charges for any of the game licenses used in our classes! As long as your child is enrolled with us, they’ll have access to all the necessary logins. Once lessons have ended, these licenses will be deactivated.
